VI Workshop APECS Portugal
The VI APECS Portugal Workshop took place at the University of Évora, on the 28th of October 2015, as part of the 6th Portuguese Conference on Polar Sciences, with the theme “Game of Funding”.
The Workshop aimed to discuss how young people and researchers can access and compete for different types of funding and grants. Which institutions may be viable to attract new funding and possible methods of persuasion. As well as more unconventional measures like crowdfunding.
The Workshop was attended by 3 guests with different perspectives and advice, Teresa Cabrita from the Portuguese Polar Program, Huw Griffiths from the British Antarctic Survey, Maria João Leão Founder of the Health Marathon and Pedro Pina, Researcher at University of Lisbon.
