Inês Gonçalves

Inês Gonçalves

   Inês Gonçalves is a student in the final year of her degree in Biology at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra (FCTUC).

​   Her main areas of interest are the effects of human activities (notably plastic pollution) on polar marine ecosystems.

​   She will be part of her first project in the field of polar sciences, which aims to analyze microplastics in krill from Antarctica.

   In the future, she hopes to do a master’s degree in Marine Ecology in order to develop research in the area of polar sciences.

​   She has been a member of the Executive Committee of APECS Portugal since February 2021.
