Inês Gonçalves
Inês Gonçalves is a student in the final year of her degree in Biology at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra (FCTUC).
Her main areas of interest are the effects of human activities (notably plastic pollution) on polar marine ecosystems.
She will be part of her first project in the field of polar sciences, which aims to analyze microplastics in krill from Antarctica.
In the future, she hopes to do a master’s degree in Marine Ecology in order to develop research in the area of polar sciences.
She has been a member of the Executive Committee of APECS Portugal since February 2021.
