Inês Ribeiro

    Inês Ribeiro has a degree in Biology from ISPA (University Institute, Lisbon).

   Currently, she is attending the Masters in Marine Biology at the University of Aveiro, where she intends to analyze for her thesis, the energy efficiency in the capture of food by the Albatross-traveler, in the southern ocean, through the analysis of fatty acids and polysaccharides.

   Her main areas of interest are the Ethology and Ecology of polar species and the impacts of climate change.

   One of her objectives is to promote actions aimed at helping the conservation of the polar region, namely through the communication of polar science with the public and awareness of the preservation of species and ecosystems.

    She has been a member of the Executive Committee of APECS Portugal since January 2019.
