Maria Soares is a third year student in the Biology degree at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra.

   By developing a strong interest in the areas of biodiversity management and conservation, environmental sustainability, and governance and literacy during her academic career, in the future, she aims to apply for a Master’s degree in Conservation Biology.

​   She has been part of the Executive Committee of APECS Portugal since March 2023.
