Rita Quelha is a marine biologist and a Master’s student in Ecology at the University of Coimbra. With a strong focus on biodiversity conservation, her work explores the interface between science and policy-making. She has experience in polar research, specifically in the Arctic, where she conducted studies in the field of environmental toxicology. In addition to her academic pursuits, Rita is the founder of an NGO dedicated to ocean literacy and environmental awareness initiatives.
