Cármen Sousa
Cármen Sousa has a degree in Pathological Anatomy and she is master in Molecular Genetics by University of Minho.
Currently, she is a PhD student between University of Algarve, Portugal and Shanghai Ocean University, China. Her main research interests are the evolution of the immunological system and the impact of global warming in immune response of antarctic fish.
She has participated in 2 Antarctic expeditions with the Portuguese Polar Programme (PROPOLAR), in Antarctica Peninsula, King George Island. Both expeditions took place during PhD fellowship, being the research area marine ecophysiology and immunology.
Cármen Sousa has been a member of the Executive Committee of APECS Portugal since January 2019.
