Diogo Francisco

   Diogo Francisco holds a degree in Marine Biology from the Faculty of Science and Technology of Algarve University and a master’s degree in  Marine Biology and Global Changes, at the University of Coimbra.

   During his master’s degree, he developed a project that assessed microplastic pollution and associated additives in penguins on the Antarctic Peninsula. His main areas of interest are climate change, the impacts of anthropogenic activities, and polar ecology.

   He is currently the Vice-president of the Executive Committee of APECS Portugal, where he has been a member since May 2023.
