Diogo Francisco is a final year student of the degree in Marine Biology at the Faculty of Sciences and Technologies of the University of Algarve.

   His areas of interest are polar ecology and animal behavior related to climate change. He volunteered at Centro de Investigação Marinha e Ambiental da Universidade do Algarve (CIMA), where he performed sampling of supernatant and interstitial water and measurement of abiotic parameters, in the marshland zone of the Ria Formosa.

   In the future, he intends to apply for a Master’s degree in Marine Biology and Global Change at the University of Coimbra.

   Diogo Francisco became a member of the Executive Committee of APECS Portugal in May 2023.
