Diogo Francisco

   Diogo Francisco holds a degree in Marine Biology from the Faculty of Science and Technology of Algarve University. He is currently in the second year of a master’s degree in  Marine Biology and Global Changes, at the University of Coimbra.

   He is currently studying the impacts of anthropogenic activities, more specifically microplastic pollution, as well as plastic additives on penguins in the Antarctic Peninsula. His main areas of interest are polar ecology, climate change and impact of anthropogenic activities on the polar regions.

   He is currently the Vice-president of the Executive Committee of APECS Portugal, where he has been a member since May 2023.
