Laura Lopes is a final year student of the degree in Biology at the Faculty of Sciences and Technologies of the University of Coimbra.
   Her areas of interest are polar marine ecology and animal behavior related to climate change and anthropogenic pressures. In the future, she intends to do a master’s degree in Ecology with the aim of opening paths towards polar and behavioral research.
   She has been part of the Executive Committee of APECS Portugal since April 2022.
