Sara Aparício
Sara Aparicio is an environmental engineer (MSc.) from the Faculty of Science and Technology, NOVA University of Lisbon. She was a fellow researcher at CENSE (Center for Environmental and Sustainability Research), and studied the impact of different scenarios of climate change on the productivity and biomass production in the Iberian Peninsula.
In the Arctic, she conducted research in the field of geophysics (for detection and modeling of large ice bodies underground). She has also participated in working groups related to the geopolitical challenges regarding resources and environmental policies resulting from a glowingly ice-free Arctic Ocean. Currently, she is involved in the creation of a startup company in the STEM field (Science Technology Engineering and Math).
She has been a member of the Executive Committee of APECS Portugal since November 2012.
